Your perfect pool awaits

ABOUT

DIVE INTO Fiberglass

Fiberglass pools are in-mold, handcrafted pools that arrive at your home ready to be installed in one piece. They are created from millions of interwoven glass threads that are covered with polyester resin, making it the ideal material for an in-ground pool. The sturdiness and durability of fiberglass also makes it the material of choice for everything from bathtubs and sinks to superyachts and exotic automobiles, meaning that you can guarantee you’re only getting the best of the best for your backyard.

FLAWLESS LOOKS

Other pool alternatives can tear, whereas a fiberglass pool will maintain its flawless facade over time. Fiberglass is also much easier to clean – think of the effort needed to scrub tile grout versus the smooth veneer of a bathtub.

NO CRACKING

Concrete pools are prone to cracking and have a much rougher surface in comparison to the smooth feel of a fiberglass pool, which helps avoid scratches on hands & feet as well as algae growth for a more enjoyable swimming experience.

GO GREEN

Because fiberglass pools are natural insulators, they hold heat for longer. The reduced need for chemicals and energy consumption means a smaller footprint on the environment and your wallet!

LESS MAINTENANCE

With a fiberglass pool you won’t have to factor in future upkeep expenses -- like resurfacing -- when estimating the total cost. A fiberglass pool also requires 30% less chlorine to keep your pool clean so you can get all of the enjoyment of your backyard without the tedious and expensive maintenance that often accompanies other types of pools.

How We Work

Our Process

Our team will lead you through Nature Bound’s custom process to help you create the bespoke pool and landscape experience you have always dreamt about. From consultation to hand off and beyond, our pros will be there every step of the way to help guide you with our years of experience and knowledge so that you can enjoy your pool stress free for years to come.
Consultation

Welcome to Step 1 of getting the pool of your dreams! We begin with a consultation, where we will start gathering information about your property. Now is the time to dream big - whether it’s water/fire features, deck jets, waterfalls, or app-controlled automation systems the sky is the limit when it comes to giving your project that personalized flair. Our team will also inspect your home for access for our excavation machines as well as crane positioning, distance, and clearances. We will plan the lift of the pool into place and help you identify any extra details, like needing an arborist to clear tree limbs. Next, we will discuss budgets and then present you with a detailed quote so you can feel confident about every element of your backyard investment.

1
Design

Our team will use our 3D software to help bring your dream to reality. Our pros will gather site information, lot drawings, surveys, plans, satellite images, and GIS information; we will discuss finishes and modern pool design trends, and then combine all this information into a comprehensive design to suit your specific needs and budget. Additional features can easily be envisioned and added during this stage. Finally, we will discuss the next steps of the process.

2
Permits, Planning and Locates:
Permit requirements vary depending on municipality, and timelines may need to be adjusted accordingly. Since some municipalities now require engineered drawings for all projects, our seasoned staff will guide you through this step alongside our available engineers that will produce the required stamped drawings. Additionally, road permits for crane and oversized shipping will be arranged. Our team will request locates and utility companies who will be required to mark all underground services. All of this requires planning and precise timing - luckily our great staff has over 40 years of experience to make this smooth sailing!
3
Ordering/Outfitting
Although some pools are “stock”, certain colour and pool combinations may need to be special ordered. Your pool will be custom crafted in one of Latham’s North American factories, then shipped to our yard. Your pool equipment - the pump, filter, heater, salt, sanitation, and automation systems - will be delivered to site. Your pool will be outfitted with jets, skimmer and plumbing in our yard or on your property. Finally it’s time for the moment you’ve been waiting for: your pool install is ready to begin!
4
Installation: Excavation and Pool Delivery

Next, our crew will determine the location and mark the outline of your pool on the ground. Then the action starts! The heavy equipment is carefully brought in, and the excavation begins. It’s a kid’s dream to watch as excavators fill dump trucks and your pool begins to take shape. This process doesn’t take long and before you know it it’s the big day!
You’ll be the talk of the town as neighbours gather to watch a massive crane set up its outriggers, extend its boom, and float your pool over your house and into place. The crew properly levels your pool and then simultaneously the pool is filled with water and backfilled with high quality HPB backfill material, used to prevent stresses on the pool walls. The underground plumbing is connected, and the pool lighting wiring is laid out. Finally, our crew sets the grading and prepares for concrete to be poured. What an exciting sight!

5
Concrete Day
Since concrete requires a firm base, often a few days of settling after tamping is recommended. Once that is complete, the concrete crew is now ready to be called to action and the right day is selected based on weather and schedules. This process can take up to two weeks but rest assured once completed you will have a lifetime of pool enjoyment ahead of you.
6
Final Hookups, Cleaning, and Pool School
Get the bathing suits ready! The only things left are the finishing details: final hookups will be completed, gas/propane connections (if a heater is installed) & electrical connections will be made and automation systems will be connected to your Wi-Fi or wired networks (outdoor cat7 wire required). Once the pool is on and operating, an initial cleaning will also be completed. Next, our pros will arrange Pool School with you: a comprehensive training session that will cover all aspects of pool maintenance and ownership, best safety practices, chemical handling, warranty registration and more. Congratulations, you will officially be a new pool owner!
